Problems with CDN

Hi everybody.

A friend who takes care of hosting for both mine and his sites enabled (I'm not sure this is the right word) CDN i.e. content delivery network services for the server that hosts my CMSMS installation.

Now I have problems when using CMSMS. For example when I want to change anything, I keep CMSMS page opened and clicking "Apply" every several minutes (for hours, while I'm doing something else) until the changes get through.

Only thing I know about this CDN (network of servers with synchronized content) is that I should use origin.mysite.com instead of mysite.com (which confuses my CMSMS installation immediately), and when I'm finished with changes I should call some API command of theirs (fastly.com).

Any experiences similar to this? Is there a "recommended" way to use CMSMS in CDN environment?
