I'm making my sites mobile ready. The galleries are working when I test on my mobile (I'm using the "Lightbox" template). But of course they are too large.
I can think of a few ideas which would allow the images to be smaller (eg. 340px wide) for mobile visitors. The first is to just create another content block and create/name a specific gallery made only for mobile users (eg. {Gallery dir='mobile'}"). I am using a code that prints a specific content/content block to handheld devices. In this gallery I could add all images in all galleries but it would need to be updated when new images are added to all galleries. I don't think this is a good idea.
I also would not want a new "mobile" gallery be visible to visitors via CPU. I don't think I'll even attempt this strategy, would prob be a waste of time.
Any suggestions?

you might want to investigate the options you get with the CGSmartImage module

Only if the site is a commercial site. If it is I just factor the very small cost into my price. Really is a superb plugin.
