no content shown after updating to 1.11.1

I've updated my site from 1.10.3 to 1.11.1 and now in the admin I can't see any content.
In the admin log I can see 10 lines like this one

admin 15 Core failed to get content for valid content id 15

Any solution?

You might want to try with debug set to true in config.php. Hopefully a meaningfull error message appears.

Key 'cms_index_content_by_idhier' doesn't exist in table 'cms_content'

ok with this hosting provider I can't use the ALTER command in SQL (I've an hosting under Confixx control panel)...
Which is the alternative way to create an Index without using ALTER?
