Problem with News module 1.11.1 new installation

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Problem with News module 1.11.1 new installation

Post by klaudeinoz »

Newbie to CMSMS - a new install, but having problems with the link from the news item title and the link from the news item Category, both give a url not found message. Have deleted article and created a new one, also uninstalled and reinstalled News Module but no success.
Otherwise, I like what I see with CMSMS, much better than a lot of the others out there that I have tried.

Apologies.
CMSMS version is 1.11.1, News module 2.12.8 as included with that version download
PHP version 5.2.17
MySQL version 5.0.91
Apache version unknown on Linux
website is www.cliftonbeach.net
click on the link in the news module and it goes to
http://www.cliftonbeach.net/index.php?m ... eturnid=39
and throws up Not Found
TIA

the last part of the news url: returnid=39, points to a contentpage that seems not to exist or maybe is set as inactive?

Do you use a detailpage parameter in your {news} tag? Then try to set it to a page that is active.
