Duplicate news article

Hi maybe this is a noob question but for some reason I have to duplicate articles news (almost same content so I dont want to rewrite everything).
I've seen that there is possible for page but i did not found the copy button on articles list.
I've read that this function is not implemented by default
so maybe a plugin would be available ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure about a plug in. If I had to do this I would simply copy the HTML from summary and content boxes and paste in to the new articles. Then edit as required.

Thats what i'm thinking to do.. but there's a lot of articles.
I just need to copy article from one category to another...
I'm really surprise that this feature is not "default" in CMSMS...

Just checked and CG Blog doesn't allow copying articles either - I guess developers thought that each news item would be pretty unique.

Yes I suppose you could create blank news articles in the user interface (which will create new rows in the right table), then edit the database and copy the contents into the empty fields.

If that is the only reason, then you might want to check out CGBlog. This is a fork of the News module, but allows you to assign multiple categories to one article
