CG Calendar 'Group Permissions' for 'editor'

Post by son123 »

Hi There,
I need the editor to have backend access to manage cg calendar. Despite ticking all the check boxes on the Group Permissions (including 'Manage Calendar Attributes') for the role of editor. When viewing the Content/CALGUYS Calendar, We only have tabs in categories, custom fields and settings. No Events tab.
Does anyone know whats going on? thanks.

Not shown in the list. And I've just updated to cg calendar 1.9.7 to see if that provided a fix. but it didn't.
I noticed this was reported as an issue in previous versions to cg calendar.

I have tested with CGCalendar 1.9.6 and it works for me.
Must say that it is an installation that runs for several years now and was updated regularly.

Probably something went wrong during installation of your CGCalendar. The "Modify Calendar" permission should be there and as far as I can see from the code, this is not a bug in the module.

My clients now added some events. If i were to uninstall and re-install i guess id lose these.

Is there a way I can manually make the needed modifications?
for instants - download module and manually update certain files?
and manually add database modifications as needed?

I found this soultion - but it's alittle dated. what do you think?

I guess that could work. But be sure to read the extra hint in the first post on the second page of that topic. http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... 2&p=236108

What versions of CMSMS, CGCalendar and CGExtensions are you running?

Depending on how many events have been added I would be tempted to uninstall, remove and re-install CGCalendar.

Just to update the post I am using full admin rights with the client at the moment. However I have had an idea that it may be link to another issue I have just posted. Both seem related to the 'group permissions'. Does this have a module to update? I think it's core. please see:
