edit: Thanks to those who contacted me about this project. Unfortunately we weren't awarded the contract, but it was great to connect with a few new CMSMS folks. I'll keep you in mind for future projects.
---------
We've been invited to quote on a new site for a medium-sized charity which would include membership, event registration, donations and possibly FEU activities. With a limited budget, we will propose using an external membership system to handle ecommerce-related activities but there may be a need to connect the external system with the website via their API, which is beyond my knowledge.
For this project, we are looking for an experienced CMSMS developer who would be able to provide assistance on an as-needed basis with API calls, creating any UDTs that may be required and other small bits of functionality yet to be determined. You would need to agree to be named as a member of our team and also be willing to take over the development of the site should something unforeseen happen to me (this is a requirement of the client). We have a project manager who will handle most client-related communications. The project completion is in 2 phases, with the main site going live by the end of September and ecommerce live by the end of November.
Ideally, I would like to work with someone in the Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa region with whom I can work on future projects but THAT IS NOT A DEAL-BREAKER as I am more interested in finding someone with the right skills and a love of CMSMS. My main concern is finding someone who is very comfortable with CMSMS/Smarty, has good PHP, jQuery/Javascript and HTML5/CSS3 skills, and has experience integrating CMSMS with APIs.
Please PM me if you are interested, with an idea of how you charge (hourly, by the task, etc), your rates and links to some sites you've built. If we decide to work together, I would need you to provide a biography and summary of your experience to be included in the proposal that is due on July 16.
Regards,
Penny

Thanks Applejack. The validation errors related to a URL in the Authorized Reseller button code supplied by BigCommerce. Now fixed.
