M&C Factory - Hit count / statistics

Hi,

I intend to use M&C Factory to create custom content types, like Events, Announcements etc.

The client wants to have a way of displaying the most popular entities on the side for each specific entity. (E.g. most popular events in the events section).

Is there a way of including statistics or some kind of hit counter for each entity in an M&C Module that gets incremented with each visit?

Have you looked at the statistics module, might be able to put it in the template of ? , it has many uses...
