How do I get Piesearch to work?

Post by thepieman »

I've been placing this {cms_module module='pisearch'} in some test pages to see how it works, but I've had no success so far

What is the correct way to impliment it?

Under the Content Menu in the admin section, I've noticed a new entry --Add Me - Module:piesearch string:friendlyname--- I'm finding that a little bit cryptic.

Also when I slect that option in the menu, I get the following:-
--Add Me - --Add Me - module:pisearch string:friendlyname-- -- (Help)
string(80) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "module_file_tpl:pisearch;adminpanel.tpl""

I've tried slecting help, but that takes me to a blank page.

hi,
it seems that you're missing some lang files...

for me this works so far (got no addme messages), but i don't get it to work either.

i installed the module then added the {cms_module module="pisearch" action="showresults" lang="de_DE"} to my search page but the resultpage stays emty.

i'v tried to add the params to the results as well as to the search page, but it still stays blank.
{cms_module module="pisearch" action="showresults" lang="de_DE" maxresults="100" searchnews="1" orderby="1" textlength="100"} (also had the ex params in)

whats confusing for me is that the help tells you to ad all the params in the tag, so i'm wondeing if this relates to one of the content pages or the admin-editable templates?

no matter what i do i get no results? any settings in the php.ini neccessary?

do some of the module files have to be writeable?

i'm running on CMS Made Simple 0.12.2 "Savusavu"

------Problem Solved-----

Upgraded to new release, and works now (0.13)

regards,

I just got the answer to why pisearch is not working...

The new pisearch module will only work with cms version 0.13...

I also have 0.12 and it was not working for me....

try downloading and installing an older version of pisearch or upgrading to 0.13...

I'm gonna try it now
