how to change the pagelayout for the news detail page

I'm using the news summery in a sidebar and want to link with the <more> option to a different page, to show the news detail. When i use the link for the detailpage, a blank page is shown with the detail news item. This is correct, but how i can change this layout, the page should use my default stylesheet and template, instead off a empty page. The page source of my newsdetail page shows no data in the body section, is this because the the news module replaces the {content} tag ? how can i change this ? is there a another tag i can use in my page to show the newsdetail ?

Default for 'more' link is to show in the page it's on in the place of what is in {content} even when you send it to a specific detail page, do both of these pages use the same page template?...

Make sure you aren't using any <divs> in the {content} that control the actual layout, left/right columns...
