Integrate IPB with CMSMS

I am curious to this as well.

I would guess that if it was a new installation of CMSMS you could simply use the same database that the IPB forum is currently using. If neither the CMSMS or IPB installation are not fresh, I would suspect it would be more difficult.

I'm in the latter situation currently, which is why I am curious.

I've been thinking about how I want to approach this thing. I'm not the best at programming, but am comfortable reading scripts and getting a 'feel' for what is happening in them.

I think I need to somehow get FEUsers to use the IPB database for authentication. Is this possible? The phpBBx module looks like it's promising since IPB uses phpbb as its core if I am not mistaken.

Any tips or helpful hints on this would be graciously accepted!
