Wysiwyg not showing after moving site

Post by Clarejl »

I am a complete CMSMS novice (I normally work with Drupal and Wordpress) and I hope I've selected the correct forum to post this in.

I recently moved a CMSMS site from one server to another. I did this by doing a full back up of the whole hosting account in cpanel and then the tech guys at my hosting company set it up in my reseller account.

Previously my client had the TinyMCE WYSIWYG editor showing.
Now they don't.

I reported this to the tech team. I'll paste bits from the email correspondence so you can see what they've tried! Obviously none of this has made any improvement!

First of all they "disable one mod_security rule which was causing issue."

Then they said
"We can see the following error for it :

[Thu Feb 23 11:51:57 2012] [error] [client 117.207.204.180] SoftException in Application.cpp:601: Directory "/home/principl/public_html/modules" is writeable by group, referer: http://www.principledwellbeing.com/admi ... tent_id=15
[Thu Feb 23 11:51:57 2012] [error] [client 117.207.204.180] Premature end of script headers: tinyconfig.php, referer: http://www.principledwellbeing.com/admi ... tent_id=15
"
I asked if they could fix it.

They asked
"Also can you please confirm if the site script is for PHP 5.2 or PHP 5.3"

I said I didn't know!

Then they asked
"You would need to check with the developers of CMS Made Simple to see if there are any issues going between PHP 5.2 and 5.3 "

So is there? Is there a quick fix for this?
Am I posting this in the right place?
Be gently with me, it's the first time I've dipped my toes into CMSMS!

Thanks
Clare

I don't think there is a problem as to whether you use PHP 5.2 or 5.3, you might want to look at the system info page to see if you have any yellow ! or red X...

It also helps us to know what version of CMSMS you have, and a search of the forum will show quite a few post on how to fix tiny not showing, modules and tiny folder having permissions of 755 helps...

Think we tracked down the problem and we know how to solved it by updating the version.

However that's given me a new problem. The theme, which works on v1.6 doesn't work on the current version. I have no idea what changes I need to make to get this theme to work (and the person who made it is less than keen to help out)
Is there a kind soul who will point me in the right direction. Remember I'm new around here.

I will help, I looked at the principledwellbeing.com site and it looks fine, it is using the {stylesheet} tag, if you upgrade from older versions it should still work as it keeps the old stylesheet functions on upgrade...

You can email me to get further personal help...

If you would help me that would be great as when we upgraded the CMSMS version the theme didn't work at all so we're reverted to an older version of where we don't having a working wysiwyg. Call me greedy but I'd like to have latest version of CMSMS, a working theme and a working wysiwig!

You probably just have to replace the {stylesheet} tag by {cms_stylesheet} in your templates.
Also the tags are now case-sensitive so make sure the case in all tags is correct.
