[solved] site preview function not working

Hello,

I recently upgraded my system to v.1.10.3. Now I'm encountering problems with the interactive functions of cmsms, e.g. the preview function or sites or e.g. the "setactive" function within the site list, which normally worked without reload, so that the respective page e.g. was deactivated and the symbols (checkmark or X) etc. were changed instantly on the same page.

Which platform is used for these functions (JS, Ajax, JQuery?) and what could be the problem? Any suggestions?

As I said, the problem occured after the update to 1.10.3 :-/

PS: I forgot to mention, also the "Apply" function for changed content e.g. isn't working any more, i.e. the message, that all changed have been applied successfully isn't showing any more etc... :-(

You may need to do a checksum to make sure all files made it to server...


The server may be blocking the scripts that perform these functions, iirc they are jquery...

thanks for the advice. Unfortunately all the checksums match those in the uploaded file if I use the checksum file "cmsmadesimple-1.10.3-checksums.dat".

When I'm using the "cmsmadesimple-1.10.3-full-checksum.dat" file instead, I'm getting a lot of files which fail the check. Those include especially these files below:

I think, some of the marked files might be responsible for the malfunction of the system. Am I right and if yes, which file should I inspect?

I just encountered something new. When I'm using the "Apply" function when editing a site, an empty red, horizontal box appears, obviously trying to output some kind of error, but there is no text in it.

So the jQuery routine is started, but somehow something is going wrong. Is there some kind of debugger I could use to look behind all this?

You need to use the checksum from the version of CMSMS that you use, did you use the full version when you installed it?...

Nope, I used the 1.10.1->1.10.3 full diff upgrade, but as there is no checksum for this version, I was not sure which one to use and tried both.

1.10.3 full diff upgrade that means the second file is the one you needed to use for checksum cmsmadesimple-1.10.3-full-checksum.dat...

It says you are missing files so you need to reupload them all, I would get the 1.10.3 full tar.gz version and upload it using the servers file manager then unpack it there to insure all files/folders make it...

Hi,

I just performed another transfer of the files, but the checksum result stays the same.
This is obviously not helping :-/

Is there any other suggestion why this problem could occur?

Hello again,

it seems like the module ListIt2 caused the problems, I have absolutely no idea why, I tried to figure it out but not chance.

I just uninstalled it and restored my settings again in a new installed version of the same module.
