Not sure if CMSMS supports this yet.
I'm looking to have the ability to export pages into XML/RSS format that I'm adding into the database. If I'm not clear enough, a this is common with blogging software such as Movable Type. Users can add pages then allow users of the site to sign up to that page via RSS feeds to be notified when page updates occur.
Does CMSMS support this yet?
Thanks,
Bryan

Never really thought of doing this for pages too. Seems like a good idea to me.
Re: CMSMS Support for RSS feeds?
Not sure why you would want to do it for the whole site? I think this would defeat the object. It would be like listing all the news you ever got rather than the newest or the top 20 items. I think RSS is for fast changing things? But I guess it is relatviely easy to do b adapting something like the the current RSS tag, the Sitemap tag or the Google Sitemap php?

it's not always for the whole site usualy just a page, mostly blogs or news is where i've seen it...
i've used RSS feeds to check my daughters live journal...
if it's site wide it generaly is sent in summary form .... first few lines to let you see if you want to read the rest...

I will have to take a look at this further.Russ wrote: It suppports it with the news module, is that what you are after?

As mark states after your post, I'm typically looking to do it for a specific page. Generally it is done for the main page on blogs to allow users to stay updated with new posts. I'm looking to build a product driven site using CMSMS and can greatly benefit from RSS generation on certain pages. I'm attempting to reach out to the impulse buyers that come visit the site.Russ wrote: Not sure why you would want to do it for the whole site? I think this would defeat the object. Thanks for the ample feedback guys. I must say that I just found CMSMS and am very impressed with the software and support.
