During upgrade to (1.10.1) - step 6 fatal error

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

During upgrade to (1.10.1) - step 6 fatal error

Post by gully »

Upgrade System
Thanks for upgrading CMS Made Simple to
1.10.1 (Le Lorrain)

Fatal error: Class jQueryBase may not inherit from final class (CmsObject) in D:\Inetpub\domainname\modules\jQuery\libraries\classes\jQueryBase.class.php on line 24

Where to look? How to fix? Thanks everyone. :)

===============
Nov15 - I'm reinstalling from backups, back to 1.9.4.3. And will wait until this upgrade firms up a bit, plus modules (and anything else) are ID'd okay or not for 1.10.1.

All files checked-out via checksum.dat ...

... should i be looking through the sql-database? If yes, any places in particular?

I'm aware some modules will need to be eradicated in the process.

Just need some pointers. thks

Did some hunting around and made a lucky guess.

I deleted the 'jquery' folder on my server and ran the install sequence again. Everything installed fine, I just need to work out why I installed 'jquery' in the first place.

seems to be a lot of these little, time consuming issues while upgrading lately, any real solution for this one in particular yet?

Make sure all your modules are up to date and compatible with 1.10.x.
Happened to me as well. Looked up the modules version in the modules sql table and compared it with the forge. Turned out formbuilder was out of date. I downloaded the modules and uploaded it to the webserver than re-ran the upgrade path and it worked like a charm.

1.10 was a major upgrade and some modules weren't ready for it. The best way to troubleshoot is to rename any suspect module folders then refresh the installer page (I just add a _ to the beginning of the folder name to keep it simple). Once you've got the cmsms upgrade done, you can bring the modules back in one at a time until you figure out which one is causing issues.

Most modules have caught up now, so the best thing is to upgrade them before upgrading cmsms. Once you're at 1.10.x, check for new module versions again.
