ImageGallery tag not working

The imagegallery tag is not working for me, and I think I know the problem. The url it shows for the thumbnail is /uploads/images/examples/thumb_dye7.jpg. This means that when I try to view the thumbnail image, it brings me to this URL http://www.my-domain.com/[b]index.php/[ ... b_dye7.jpg This is because my browser is of course behaving properly by adding the current page's URL to an address without the http://

Am I missing something here, or has no one noticed that this might not be implemented properly?

Before you start...
My permissions are set to the correct number. I have had no problems uploading files and I end up with an automatically created thumbnail for the images that I upload. I have verified that a thumbnail does exist for the images in the folder I have designated. The folder that I've put into the ImageGallery tag is correct, because the page I inserted it into displays the broken image and caption for the image.

Mmmm it's not working on mine either? Yet works in 0.13 Beat 4? Any relevant changes Ted, actually the static image rotator doesn't work either?
