[SOLVED] 1.10.1 Form failed but CMS Mailer is all setup... ?

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[SOLVED] 1.10.1 Form failed but CMS Mailer is all setup... ?

Post by fearmydesign »

Hi :-\
I have what I think a small problem but I can't seem to figure this out. I have setup CMS Mailer correct on my clean installation of 1.10.1 - I say "correct" because when I submit the test, they go through without issues (did several times).

Now I am trying to use the default contact form on FormBuilder, and I have set it up like always, but when I try to submit I get the following error:

Code: Select all

SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: test@test.com
Sorry! There was an error handling your form submission.
SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: test@test.com
SMTP server error: Verification failed for 550-The mail server could not deliver mail to uno@test.com. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries. 550 Sender verify failed
I have tested all the settings on my CMS Mailer and all the emails seem to be going out/receiving fine. I have indeed about 10 other CMSMS sites on the same server (1.9.4.3) and all forms working properly. I even sent tests emails and they are all working properly.

Can anyone shed a bit of light on this issue for me? thank you

Seems pretty obvious to me.... try a real email address... you probably missed a setting.

I only changed the email address for this post - they were real email addresses being submitted! I have gone back and checked all of the settings, but can't put my finger on it. Anything else you think may be wrong?

I'm doing another fresh install to test the form (re-trace my steps) to see what happens, thank you.

Ok I got it... it was something really dumb, the email address was missing one letter and I didn't notice it because I was just selecting from the drop-down menu. Sorry, thank you! Works perfect!
