Can't install cms 1.10

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Can't install cms 1.10

Post by Djith »

I downloaded the latest version 1.10 unpacked it and uploaded everything under httpdocs (wich i understand is your root directory)
I changed all necessary permissions on tmp and cache
I made a (empty) config.php and uploaded under httpdocs.
Created a database named cms.

Then i should be ably to see the install setup when i type in the website url in the browser...

Nothing.

I basically did everything that is explained in the install.txt

What can it be?

Best to make sure you are putting them in the right place, make a .html file, hello.html, with Hello World in it and put it in the root where these files are go to site.com/hello.html if you don't see Hello World you have the files in wrong place...

It helps to elaborate on the exact steps you took to get where you are, FTP or cPanel, etc. etc...

Most times if you have all folders/files in the right place and it is a fresh new installation you can install by just typing your site into the address bar, if that don't work try site.com/install/index.php...
