[solved]If if third party modules are compatible with 1.10

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[solved]If if third party modules are compatible with 1.10

Post by jospanner »

Apologies if this is a stupid question but when I go to the Forge to download a new module - how can I tell if it works with 1.10 or not? Does it say somewhere I'm missing? Could the developers state if it is compatible in the intro notes on the module download page?

No, this is stated nowhere, and the reason is pretty simple: There are modules that are not that well maintained anymore, but still may work with 1.10
Since its developer is not that active, he will most likely not update the intro note in the Forge. ;)

You can assume that all modules with a recent releasedate are 1.10 compatible. See http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/project/latest_files

Gallery e.g. is not yet updated for 1.10, but flawlessly works with 1.10

Thank you - that clears things up a little. It feels like a bit of a minefield at the moment with lots of my sites running different modules!
