Hello CMSMSers! My website is hosted through GoDaddy and is running on a Shared Linux. I wanted to test out a fresh install of the new 1.10 so I made a subdomain and uploaded the 1.10 unzipped files. When I visit the subdomain url, it gives me the attached error saying there is an unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR syntax error on line 91. When I try to direct my browser directly to the install folder, it gives me the same error except it says line 148. This is my first time hosting on GoDaddy so I don't know if the problem is with GoDaddy or with the new CMSMS 1.10. Please help!
Thanks in advance!

If you were to create a simple file with just:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
Then upload, and browse to that file. I bet it would tell you that you are using PHP4.
For numerous reasons, godaddy is in my personal, not so humble opinion, not a good host to use with CMSMS.

[SOLVED] Re: Install 1.10 Error - T_OBJECT_OPERATOR
Good to know. Thanks Calguy.
And I 100% agree. GoDaddy is the word registrar/host out there! Confusing control panel, tons of upsells, php4, etc...
My work uses it though, so I'm kinda stuck.. hopefully GoDaddy can update their PHP ASAP!

I dislike GoDaddy hosting and won't work on any projects unless my customers move to a host I recommend.

I still don't recommend godaddy. But a simple search for 'godaddy php5' found me this link:
