hi,
I have made a sort of online company presentation using cmsms. Now the client is asking if it's possible to have the same site on a computer without internet connection.
I was hoping that it would be some easy way to just copy the whole site whenever a change is made and just put it on a USB drive or something. Something that would not require too much effort and installations.
Anyone know a nice little trick to make it work?
Offline version of site?
Re: Offline version of site?
There is a portable version of XAMPP that should run on a flash drive, I've installed it on a 2.5" external drive and it works great...
Re: Offline version of site?
thanks,
I'm downloading and checking it out. What would be the easiest way to get my whole site on the flash drive? Would I have to do some manual work or is there some way i can just copy/export the whole thing and put it on the drive?
I'm not too experienced with database things ^^

How to move a site from server to xampp
You would need to follow the same instructions as if you were moving the site from one server to another.
Server 1 = your website install.
Server 2 = your xampp install on the USB drive.
Here are detailed instructions in the wiki:
