CGBLOG multiple pages/instances?

Post by tommycahir »

Hi Guys

I am hoping you can help me with this query. I am planning on using the CGBlog module to implement a blog on my site but I am a bit stumped as to how to go about it at the moment and need your advice on the best way to resolve my issue.

I plan on having 2 separate blog pages on my site 1 for personal updates (house building, running, events, general ramblings etc) and 1 for technology related updates (QNAP updates, web development, gadgets etc) but I am not sure how to implement this in CMSMS. I want each page to have have categories assigned to them as you would with any blog and if possible for those categories not to cross over between the 2 pages.

Any thoughts and help would be appreciated.

Regards
Tommy

When you have categories in it use them in the module tag call {CGBlog category='one,two,three,etc'}...

Excellent thanks DR CSS.

next question then is how do I only show other tags/categories related to that in a left floated sidebar eg in the personal page I only want house building, running, events, general ramblings and not have QNAP show there?
Is there a hierarchical structure to the categories that can be used to achieve that?
