Hi there,
Upon moving a site from a third party server to my own server and upgraded to 1.9.3, I have noticed that Tiny MCE is not working. I have thus tried the following to no luck.
1. Checked not diabled and reset all default settings
2. Uninstalleed and reinstalled
3. Uninstalled, removed and put 2.7.3. on
3. Tried switching on the static config file
4. Re-upgreded to 2.9.1
None of the above have worked. I have tinyMCE working fine on a number of other sites on this server, so I don't think it is that. anyone got any ideas?
Regards
John

No need to give up and I don't want his money. I wanted to take a look at the problem myself. Noone said about charging him.Rolf wrote:This kind of reply is similar like: "Hands up and give me your money"replytomk3 wrote:PM me login or search my posts.
About a 100 of my posts deal with TinyMCE problems. And what to do if steps he listed do not get Tiny back.
Re: Tiny MCE has disappeared
I had the same problem with an upgrade to 1.9.4.3 and here's what I had to do fix it.
1. Unistall the TinyMCE version that came with the 1.9.4.3 distro
2. Using SSH or FTP, physically remove the TinyMCE folder from the modules directory
3. In a separate location, download and extract the previous version (1.9.4.2) - no need to install, just need the files.
4. Copy the TinyMCE from this distro into the modules folder of your new installation.
5. Now reinstall the module from within the Admin panel.
Apparently there is something wrong with the TinyMCE as we delivered with the 1.9.4.3 distro and it has not been fixed.
Hope this helps.

Re: Tiny MCE has disappeared
I just did a new clean install of 1.9.4.3 uploading the compressed install via SSH and had this same "out of the box" issue with TinyMCE.spcherub wrote: Apparently there is something wrong with the TinyMCE as we delivered with the 1.9.4.3 distro and it has not been fixed.

Your fix worked for me, Thank you!
Have you already submitted this as a potential bug?
Re: Tiny MCE has disappeared
I have not posted a bug report, as I think this has been reported a few other times in the forum - I'm assuming the devs are aware of it.

I applied spcherub's solution but I uploaded last version (2.9.1) TinyMCE-2.9.1.xml from http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/project/files/12spcherub wrote:3. In a separate location, download and extract the previous version (1.9.4.2) - no need to install, just need the files.

and it's working now.
