[solved] module pretty url's not working

I recently moved a website to another webhost.

All went well, except pages with news and other modules using pretty url's and replace the content area.

For example: when I click a link to a news item, it should be loaded in the content area of the home page. But instead of the news item the normal content of the home page is shown. The url does change to /news/.../.../
When I clear the cache in the admin panel, I can view a newsitem once, but after that all I get is the normal content

I already turned off caching for the home page. Could this somehow be a server setting?

I'm sorry this issue was solved a long time ago when I updated to 1.10. I'll try to do my best to make better startposts if I need help again!
