FCKEditorX is not shown

Post by linken_harmy »

Hi people, i have a strange problem. i have installed cms-ms on a server twice. i mean there are different virtual hosts, different databases, just the server itself is the same... with the first installation everything is ok, but the second installation does never show the FCKEditor in the Content-Section. The standard textbox editor works but when i switch back to the FCK the gray background will enlarge while loading an editpage and it looks like the editor should be loaded but i never see it... i think it is a problem with the installation but i cannot fix it.. also after reinstalling no change... what can i do ? thx...

I would love to know the answer to this.  I just upgraded to the Beta version and I am still not seeing the editor, but seeing a snapshot of my website instead.

What should be in the config.php file because I see no reference to the editor at all!

I'm using the beta version of CMSMS 0.13; previously tried 0.12.2 with the same result.

Linux Server, Windows 2000 client. PHP v. 4.4.1
Firefox 1.5.03
IE 6.0

Now I can view the FCK editor when using Firefox, however when I change the content of a page, it does not change when I view the site and I get the error message:

Error loading "http://mysite.com/modules/FCKeditorX/fc ... .php?id=15"

Can't view editor at all using IE.

Okay... I went back and installed the last version that I knew to work which was 0.11.2, and I now believe that it must be just a problem with Firefox since I recently updated it to 1.5.03.

I don't know what to say about IE since I have not updated it and am getting errors however I am able to use the editor after hitting "ok" on the error message box.  ???

I'm afraid to upgrade it now... I guess I could roll back to the last Firefox version, but I've updated all my extensions  ???  I'll keep trying to figure it out.

Same problem here..

I don't get any error messages, though, the FCKeditor just doesn't load! I have enabled javascript, etc, etc. As a newbie to the whole cms-thing I can't really see through the codes so well, so I don't know what to check for in the config.php file ..

Any suggestions will be most warmly welcomed  :)

It seems like there is some sort of problem with the newer version of CMSMS?? I will eventually try the earlier version (or another CMS..)

Hope someone has some answers!! - Dahlan
