Post by dazzyweb »

Hi

Does anyone know if the URL Template field in CGBlog under options work?

I tryed changing it and nothing worked.

I tryed as well changing the line in action.ajax_geturl.php as shown here http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/5738 and still nothing.

I'm having the same problem. I also tried the solution you referenced. Absolutely nothing. In fact, it's clear enough that the part of the php file that's being edited isn't having any effect at all--because fill it with irrelevant code doesn't break the URLs.

I'm beginning to think that CGBlog isn't worth bothering with until more attention is focused on these rather major problems.

As a matter of fact, if you delete all the code in the actions.ajax_geturl.php file, it doesn't affect anything at all. That file doesn't do anything.

The developer says in the Forge that this problem is fixed...
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/5738

But I am using the latest version 1.9.8 and still see no change. Does anyone else get it to work? ???

I am also wondering if there is a way to make similar settings for the News module. I really don't like the set of random numbers these modules use as standard... :-\

It is fixed, but not yet released.
Will be soon as far as I know. We talked about it a few days ago.

version 1.9.10 still has this issue?
using CMSMS 1.11.4 / CGextensions 1.31.3

BTW: i can't understand what the URL is made up of.
mydomain.com/blog/12/245/articletitle is what i get, but it should be
mydomain.com/blog/year (4 digits)/month/title

What is 12 and what is 245? They seem random?

Even when i look in the core module files i see a hardcoded fallback that is actually my desired setup...?

Just a second ago I told Calguy it indeed still doesnt work at my website...
But to make it fun, when I do a new install it *does* work. So, you tell me... ;)

What I did see, the custom url doesnt work for me at once. I get error404. But after an hour it does work! Strange, but true.

I have no error message what so ever. That is the problem here, nothing to work on, so nothing to fix...
