No pretty URL scheme when giving an image an link ( 0.13 beta4 )

Post by hamood »

Hi,

I just love the CMS and the new pretty URL scheme !!!

however, when i add an image and give the image a link with FCKEditor the pretty URL scheme is lost.
Same when editing a text link.
I am afraid search engines will see duplicate pages (with duplicate content ) because of this.

I am getting : http://www.aanbieding-gsm.nl/index.php?page=17 instead of
http://www.aanbieding-gsm.nl/mobiel_gsm_telefoon/Qtek/   --> ( which i , and the Search engines like the best ;) )

I am using .htacces as described in the forum.

For example see: http://www.aanbieding-gsm.nl/index.php
Please note that the site is still under development.  ;)

Does anybody know a nice cure for this one?

Kind regards,

Hamood

Hi , thanks for your reply, i know google does;)
But google for example can penalize duplicate content / pages and google will see 2 seperate pages with the same content when seeing the different URL schemes.

However, looking at the breadcrumbs, they do give a 'pretty URL scheme' so i was wondering why when entering a link through FCK editor it does not give a 'pretty url'
Tried to look into the code but i am not that pro ( yet ).

gonna try with Tiny editor, will let you know tomorrow.

Problem solved though with text links: I use 'generate tag' to make a cms_selflink.
It will show the desired 'pretty URL' .

Now solving the prob with the images ;)
