Smarty tag page content not in search results

Smarty tag page content not in search results

I have a simple smarty tag that outputs text (which indicates if a page needs updating, ie a text string like "This page needs updating") .

However, the Search does not find this text. Is this normal?

I have tried re-creating the search index.

How should I do so that Serch finds a text created by a Smarty tag in the page content?
