Necessary to upgrade 1.9.4 to 1.9.4.2? (solved)

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Necessary to upgrade 1.9.4 to 1.9.4.2? (solved)

Post by wmisk »

Earlier this year I created a website with version 1.9.4, shortly after it was done the 1.9.4.2 upgrade came out. It says that it mainly fixes a security bug in the News module. Do I need to upgrade if I'm not using this module-can I just uninstall it instead?

It was mentioned HERE that as long as you disable the News module, you would be OK.
