I have a site running :
CMS Version 1.8.2
with
CGExtensions 1.23
CGCalendar 1.25
Admin-> Extensions -> Modules is reporting:
Minimum CMSMS Version Required: 1.9.1
in the status of CGExtensions.
This was working but obviously it has phoned home and now refuses to function.
I don't want to be forced into upgrading the whole website because of one module, this seems pretty heavy handed to me.
Is there something I can comment out in the module?

Re: CGCalendar stopped working
1: Your version numbers are wrong. I just released CGCalendar 1.7.4 TODAY.
2: You, or somebody else must have upgraded the CGCalendar version (probably manually, because the automatic ModuleManager method should have prevented this) (I think).
3: Modules (at least none that I know of) do not automatically upgrade themselves, or call home in any way. The core calls home once per day to inform you that a new version of CMSMS is available, modules don't do this.
4: You really SHOULD upgrade your site to CMSMS 1.9.4.2 not just because of the new features, but because of the security issues that have been fixed. Many people who have not upgraded are getting hacked.
If you really don't want to upgrade, then I suggest you restore from a known good backup.. because somebody has obviously upgraded modules on you, and it's safe to say that not only one thing was done.

Re: [solved] CGCalendar stopped working
thanks for the reply.
I just double checked the versions:
CGExtensions 1.23
CGCalendar 1.2.5
I did not occur to me that it may have been a potential security penetration.
I will recommend they upgrade.
Thanks
