Simple question: remove site url from <a>

Hello,

Got a simple question I'm sure one of your CMSMS master will be able to answer really quickly.

Basically, whenever I create a link I get my site url appended automatically; ie

<a href="">Test<a>
Test Link = "http://localhost/index.php?"

The site url "http://localhost/index.php?" gets appended with every <a>, how do I disable this feature?
