Hello I have several articles on my site using the news module. I was wondering if someone could point me to documentation on how to better configure the urls for the article pages?
The url for the page of the site under construction is:
http://209.97.208.212/financial-resourc ... e-articles
(yes, it will eventually have a domain name rather than just an ip address)
The articles have urls like http://209.97.208.212/news/49/124/Credi ... 20articles
I was wondering if there is a way to configure either cmsms or apache to remove /news/49/124 from this url? what about the
"d," is there a way to remove that as well? thanks in advance.

Re: urls for news module article pages
I don't think that the article that you posted was what he was looking for..
Have you tried using the URL field when editing a news article? The issue is that you would have to always set this value each time.
I've never seen the 'd,' before. Which version of CMSMS?

Oh, URL not title. Sorry
Re: urls for news module article pages
Interestingly, if you remove the 'd,' from your URL, it still works.

I am using v 1.8.2 I do not see a url field on the edit screen for an article. Is this a newer feature that only exists in more recent versions?

Yes it is never feature and you should upgrade your CMSMS version due to security risk.
