Display selected news category subcategories on single page

I would like to build a list of, lets say, computers with manufacturers and models and decided made this by news module.

Categories are in this order:

1. Computers
2. Computer manufacturer (Computer manufacturer names)
3. Computer model (ex. laptop, desktop, tablet)

Example news article:

Name: Gamers Laptop px1200
Category: Computers / Company X / Laptop
Content: Gamers Laptop px1200 for true gamer only.

I want full list of manufacturers on single page. Manufacturer name is link to page where are listed all subcategories of that main category and all articles of that subcategory.

My problem is that summarytemplate page is following on every page and i cannot get article content when using that template.

Can anyone help?

I'll try to play around with it, but I might not be of help, since all my sites that use the News module are only one topic (level) deep.

I suggest the cataloger module for that since you can have hierarchy a lot easier with that than with the News module. This I know for a fact as I'm using it on two of my sites. The difference will be that you'll have to copy and paste your existing news articles into pages in the content tab so that may be a bigger undertaking than you are wiling to subject yourself to right now.

But let's see if we can fix that template. You may need to create a custom template. Can you post the contents of your current misbehaving template here?

I suggest the cataloger module for that since you can have hierarchy a lot easier with that than with the News module.

I tried cateloger module but it won't fit on this purpore because i need more information there that just a title and image (correct if i am wrong).

I agree with pixelita that the news module might not be the most suitable module in your case.

You might also want to take a look at Products module
