I struggle with the exact same problem as described in:
http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... =8&t=48907
http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... =7&t=52275 and
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/4965
but the solution that is mentioned does not work for me.
In all modules with a TinyMCE-contentblock (even in the TintMCE test editor-tab) the WYSIWYG-editor is not showing by default and the 'toggle WYSIWYG'-checkbox is checked. When I uncheck the checkbox, the WYSIWYG-editor shows up.
I have checked/changed all settings of TinyMCE and Global/Advanced Settings, cleared cache of CMSMS and browser(s), tried it on several computers and browsers, but nothing fixes this problem.
I have CMSMS 1.9.1 installed and updated all modules to their latest versions.
I hope anyone can help me on this.

Re: TinyMCE not default in WYSIWYG-mode
Hello,
I have seen this problem before. Happens on change of settings of Tiny. Same thing: no editor with checkmark on, editor appears when you uncheck it.
Search my posts for more information.
Somehow, the problem dissapears after I do the usual of resetting all tiny configurations to default, selecting it as my default editor in user preferences, and going into site options to set the editor on by default.
After submitting a few pages, everything starts working.
I don't remember what I wrote in my other post, so search and you shall find.

[Solved]: TinyMCE not default in WYSIWYG-mode
Thank you so much, replytomk3.
I found your article on this on your website: http://mkrd.info/software-discussions/c ... -work.html.
Step 2 did it for me: Set TinyMCE to use a static config file.
Now the editor shows up as it should do.
