cmsms 1.9.4.2 and PHP 5.2.17 MySQL 5.1.41 transfer probmem å

Moving CMSMS 1.9.4.2 to another server with PHP 5.2.17
MySQL 5.1.41 the specific Swedish letters get corrupted. Is it just a bad transfer or is there a problem with the versions? I know I read something about versions somewhere, but cannot find it again.

Gallery, Formbuilder, Advanced Content is installed. The site is http://www.svefo.eu

In config.php, set the database encoding to what phpMyAdmin table encoding is. Search my posts.

Thank you replytomk3, for getting back to me so quickly and please excuse the late reply.

I looked at your messages and tried changing in the config.php, but it didn't work and I remade the backup/transfer several times with help from the support, but it never worked. Every time I cleared the cmsms memory the Swedish letters scrambled. Finally I gave up and made a clean install and copied the pages and inserted them. This worked without a hitch.

The web hotel, Binero, is rather well thought of and has won the reward for best web hotel the last two years and recommendations several years before that in IDG's magazine Internet World. It does a thorough test of uptime, support etc of the larger web hotels in Sweden. Binero do have problems with their new setup though.

For instance you cannot add anyone to an email list. They will fix it, but when?

Uptime has been good and with the clean install it seems to work well for this, so far, rather small site.
