Site Broken when moved to new server

Post by mlwilmore »

I am using CMS Made Simple™ 1.9.4.1. My site was mistakenly deactivated by a major hosting company and then restored onto another server. Initially after the restore, the site content could be seen but the CSS was missing. When viewing the source code there were no CSS links listed.

In the admin panel when trying to see the CSS that was linked to the template under Layout>Templates and clicking the CSS icon, I receive an error: SQL error in listcssassoc.php

I have tried rebuilding the site on a fresh install, I've tried moving it to another server, nothing has worked. Finally I hardcoded the CSS links into the template just to the site back up.

The other symptom is the fact that under Pages the templates can't be changed. I have 5 templates that I use but the pages are all showing up under the default template. When I attempt to change the template under that Page's options and click submit, nothing happens. The Page stays under the default template.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

A huge amount of effort in the wrong direction == wasted.

Change config.php paths to correct value. Clear cache.

While that seems like a reasonable assumption, I checked the config file again against the host's path settings. It was correct. To double check I ran a complete blank install of CMSMS and let it rebuild the config file. Still no luck.

Any other thoughts?

How many pages on the website? If under 30, restart with a new install and a new database.

I would wait for others to respond. You can also send me all login information and I can take a look.

The website link is: http://www.roscoeforwyoming.com/

For this, I've got the CSS hardcoded in. The other broken pieces are the footer and the map link. I am 99.99% certain that the config.php file is right (though can't say that I am 100%).

I very much appreciate any help you can give me, before I totally rebuild the site.

Thank you!

Took a quick look.
In first it looks like a problem in your template.
You have twice called the Google Analytics, once in the header and once in the footer (area).
tring(61) "Smarty error: unable to read resource: "globalcontent:footer""
Wrong tag in template? Or GCB footer isn't there...
