add content via email / SMS / MMS / etc

Has anyone had a go at trying to implement functionality similar to Wordpress blog by email feature? Where you can send a specially crafted text email to a POP account, a script within CMSMS which is run on a schedule then picks up the email strips the message/subject and adds the content.

I have achieved the POP grabbing/piping and email extract and transform on past projects but have no clue as to how I would get the content into CMSMS, if that makes sense
