root_path: failure in system info

Post by tpullano »

I know this error has been talked about in the forums, but cannot seem to find a cure.

Some suggest a 32M php_mem_limit which I have, others change the permissions on the root (mine shows at chmod 750).

Does this present a problem, as all seems to be working fine.  If a problem, then does the permission need to be higher, and if so how can I change. I cannot change it in either Filezilla highest dir is / or the hosts file manager.

Code: Select all

root_path:  /home/users/web/b2717/hy.vsaconsulting (0750) Failure ?

I have exactly the same question as the OP but could not find any response to his question. Everything seems okay with the root permissions (0750), but I don't know if this will cause problems later. It appears that I have three reasonable options:
(1) Ignore the error and hope for the best.
(2) Start over and re-install cmsms in a subfolder to the root directory.
(3) Try to get my web host to change the (Others) permission.
I would really appreciate a suggestion here.
Thanks,
Bob
