Hi,
I've been playing with CMSMS on windows and have now set up virtual hosts on Linux, is there any easy way to migrate a site with CMSMS from one platform to another?
Many thanks

should work fine.
download the backup module, install in old setup goto Extensions » Database Backup do a backup name it something you will remember or leave as default.
install CMSMS in new location after successful install, install backup module and any other modules you used in old site, run backup once so it can make backup folder in the admin folder, FTP to old site/admin/backups in there you will find 'whateverthenameis'.txt download to your comp. somewhere. FTP to new site site/admin/backups upload .txt file. login to new site goto Extensions » Database Backup at the bottom you see 'Restore a Previous Backup Set' clik and find the .txt file in the dropdown, this is where naming it something besides default comes in handy, the default backups look the same just diff. in the end of the name "backup-2006-05-12_12-17-00.txt" that is a time stamp so if you do 2 real close backups the time is the only diff. it will give you warning "WARNING!! RESTORING A DATASET WILL OVERWRITE ALL THE CURRENT DATABASE CONTENTS!!" if you are ready clik "Restore This Backup Set" and you should be set. i've moved a few sites this way no problems.
