Advice on a module to add data to database

Hello all.

I am woundering if anyone can offer me any advice on where to look etc on how i can create a very simple module that will allow admins who log in to the CMS backend to add data to the database.

Much like you can with the News module. I would like them to enter information which can then get saved directly into the database.

I dont need to worry about displaying the data i have developed some custom code for that already.

I am just struggling with the saving to database part.

ANy help would be great !

Why not the News module?

Did you get this sorted? You just need to store it in the database as normal. I can give you a hand with this for a nominal fee if you wish.
