Hi guys,
Can't see anything about it, so will ask ;o)
Is CMSMS capable of having an area where users can create their own pages?
Similar to when visitors create their own wedding page etc ...
Anything like this possible?
Thanks
K
User create pages
Re: User create pages
Katea,
yes this is possible, as users without ManageAllContent, can only add-pages UNDER a page, where they have access to. So when you create a specific page, and make them additional editor, then they can only ADD pages underneath, which is then their area.

Re: User create pages
Thanks for the response Ronny.
However, I kind of want a front end set up ..
Where visitors to the site can create their own pages, select from a template and create heir own page to be viewed.
I don't really want them going in the back end of the CMS .. (admin area)
Something where they can create an account and be able to edit their pictures and text etc
Is that possible? If so, can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Re: User create pages
Hi faglork,
I know you can register people with the FEU module, but I also want something where a user can create their own homepage and for it to be viewable by everyone.
This can't be done with FEU can it?

Re: User create pages
No help here?
I just need a users to be able to create a page to be filled in with information from a long form and be searchable in the main site under a section. Something like Google local business listings.
And for them to be able to select which parts of the information to show. Along with the option to change the information.
Something like, if they had name, address, phone and a list of services, they could omit their personal details like name, address and phone number and just show their services etc
Thanks

Re: User create pages
katea,
It sounds like you don't really need them to create a CMSMS "page", but just to create some content from the frontend that will be visible to other visitors - right?
This could be done in several ways - you could simply add the appropriate properties to their FEU account and then they could edit their account, and you can use CGUserDirectory to show a list of FEUs and the desired properties. Or you could use something like Products or CompanyDirectory as well. Even News could be used...
