I'm having a lot of trouble with the showtime module installed into a cmsms install under virtualmin pro.
First thing to note is that the php memory setting needed to be increased (for a particular virtual host in virtualmin), but I also had to increase ICPCommTimeout (in virtualhost section of main apache conf) to 120 to even get Showtime to install.
The next major issue I had is trying to use jQuery instead of Flash. This caused apache to hang for several minutes...no websites on that server would respond during this time, which is a serious problem. Couldn't find anything useful in the logs either...only errors related to timeout exceeded. I tried changing showtime code to use the compressed jquery.js to no avail; tried latest version of jQuery...no differnce. Setting IPCCommTimeout to a very long timeout did eventually let jQuery produce a slideshow, but it's just not usable this way.
Second issue is that watermarking doesn't seem to work now. I did see it work at least once, but I'm not sure which combination of settings I used. Now that I'm trying to use Flash for the slideshow, watermarking doesn't work at all. Is watermarking supposed to work with flash slideshow?
Third issue is with links on slides. Maybe I'm missing the point of a 'link', but when I add a link to a slide (internal or external), I view the slideshow but there aren't any links on the images. Am I correct in thinking the link should allow me to click on a slide during the slideshow and have it take me to another page?
Fourth issue...actually a feature request... Is it possible to center align the comments and title? It would be nice to have this text center-aligned beneath the image in the slide, especially when the slideshow background and title/comment background is transparent.
Since others don't seem to have the problems I do, I highly suspect the root cause of these issues is with my setup i.e. centos 5 -> virtualmin pro -> cmsms (1.9.4.1) -> showtime (2.0.3). I've tried several different browsers as well: chrome, firefox, IE 8, ...
I have high hopes for this module as it's supposed to do exactly what I need.

Showtime in virtualmin cmsms problems
Re: Showtime in virtualmin cmsms problems
UPDATE
Actually, I just discovered that slide links do work except in my version of Chrome. I'm running Chrome version 10.0.648.151 under Ubuntu Hardy. Firefox (windows and linux) and Chrome on Windows XP works fine with the links.

Mike

UPDATE
More information on Chrome under Ubuntu.
It appears that my chrome profile has some issues with flash. A new profile works mostly as expected. One thing I did notice is that slide links don't work properly in chrome if I just type the domain as the url
e.g. example.com
But, if I type www.example.com, then strangely, the links work in chrome.

Re: Showtime in virtualmin cmsms problems
Okay, so I found the problem with links on slides. Turned out to be a browser caching issue. I had to manually clear my cache (both firefox and chrome) to get the updated flash showtime slideshow.
I'd still like to find a solution to the jquery slideshow problem I'm having though.
