Company Directory - wanting Hierarchy in categorylist

Hi

I'm using the following:

{CompanyDirectory action="categorylist" categorylisttemplate="Trades" summarytemplate="Trades" detailtemplate="Trades" hier="Trades" pagelimit="10"}

My problem is that the hier="Trades" does not work in the category list but does when you drill drown from there. ie I only want a category list to be displayed for companies in a specific hierarchy. I'm pretty sure this is as documented.

Is there a work around for this. I realise that this probably means changing the code but I'm no php/SQL expert.

I think it would be a desirable feature.
