Database connection

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Database connection

I have uploaded CMS file to public_html folder.

But i'm getiing the below error.

Database Connection Failed
Error: Access denied for user 'cms'@'localhost' (using password: YES) (1045)
Function Performed: CONNECT
Host/DB: localhost/cms
Database Type: mysql

Fatal error: Attempt to connect to database cms on cms@localhost failed in /home/sumiccom/public_html/lib/adodb.functions.php on line 85

Can anyone help me

Have you installed it before trying to access the admin panel? If so, have you configured your database? Have you set your database hostname, username and password correctly?

I see it connected to DB but your folder permissions are stopping the style sheets from working...


@wombatnsw

I would get to the config.php, FTP or cpanel file manager to check the path to the DB, while at it in cpanel look to see that the DB is made and has what is need and check the path to it etc. etc...
