[Solved] Upgrade ok but admin themes did not renew.

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[Solved] Upgrade ok but admin themes did not renew.

Post by henris17 »

Hello,

I succeeded to upgrade from 1.4 to 1.8.1. Everything went ok, except that the admin themes (menus etc...) are still in the OLD form. Is there a way to correct this ?
Do I have, for the rest a 1.8.1 or some hybrid version ?

In other words I don't get the nice dropdown menu .... like it should
Trying to upgrade to 1.9.4.1 did not succeed for the admin part, so I revert to 1.8.1 which functionned.

Henri

When you upgrade you have to clear the cache of your browser and you can get some nicer new functionality by choosing the NCleangrey admin theme in the site admin and in user preferences...

Unfortunately, it seems to be something else.

Finally I am ashamed of my mistake, but as I am not the only inattentive user here the solution of this:

The admin template needs to be changed in both:
Site Admin > Global Settings
And
My Preference>User Preferences

Doing it only in the first one will not change the look of the admin.

Regards
