Online newspaper with CMSMS

We have been working on this for the last 3+ months and its finally online. Please have a look at http://www.acento.com.do
Extensive use of the news module and the blog module. Also uses gallery and calendar among many others.
Please provide your feedback. And we need to optimize it for speed and performance as much as we can so any help would be greatly appreciated.

For the sidebar sliders we used the news module with some jQuery jCarousel scripts.
We also used Front End File Management, Forum Made Simple, Polls Made Simple, Calguys Feed Maker and Calguys Module Extensions.
We also made extensive use of User Defined Tags.
