Renaming directories?

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Renaming directories?

Post by TriLogic »

I would like to be able to have CMS made simple add a prefix to all the directories that it uses.  Instead of images for example, I would like to use cms_images and cms_admin instead of admin, and so on.  I need this because my hosting provider uses folders named images and admin already and I want to insure a clean separation across applications.

You must only change the values in config.php for admin and uploads/images ... perhaps you should install cmsms in a subdirectory before so there should not be a problem with the directorys of your provider.

are those folders yours or theirs, do they have anything in them, rename them or delete if you or they don't need them, my hosting has the ability to point the domain name to a folder, if you have the same thing just make a folder like cyberman said and direct the domain name to your CMSMS folder,,
