(SOLVED)Add new Content issue...

Post by fr0z3ng33k »

When you log into the admin section of CMS MS and you click on Content tab then Pages you can see your list of pages you have. For me it's Homepage, About Us (section) then I have drop downs for About us 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 then Articles (section) drop downs as well 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and so on. For some reason every time I click the "Add new Content" to create another page it puts it below my Homepage and not in under Articles like I need it to be. I've looked through all of the tutorials and they show that I can click a "Parent Directory" which will allow me to place it in the section I desire, however I don't have that option when Add new Content is up. Even when I do the copy file it wont let me move it to a different location either.

I apologize if this is redundant and mentioned one to many times, thanks for the help everyone!

when adding new content, a dropdown with "Parent" should be visible. This is for the selection of the parent-page.

if I am correct you not the administrator/creator of the site. As it appears that your user account has restricted permissions.

You may need to contact your administrator to adjust the permissions and/or the settings of the website to allow you to edit the parent page.

Ok that worked perfect. My only question now is how do I make the page I just added live on the website once it's uploaded?
