[Solved] Failed installation of CMSMS 1.9.3

Hello,

I have downloaded CMSMS 1.9.3, extracted and uploaded to my 1and1 server which is running my web sites and Wordpress blogs.

On entering the URL http://www.mysite/index.php to get to the installation wizard, I get the reply :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homepages/xx/d125670xxx/htdocs/radnage/index.php on line 85

Line 85 says:
$smarty = cmsms()->GetSmarty();

I've obviously done something wrong with the installation (by FTP) but don't know what!

Can someone help please?
