Restaurant site

Post by elkman »

Created a new Irish restaurant website for a local Colorado mountain location. Still have a bit of tweaking to do as there is an HTML error and 2 CSS errors that I have to figure out how to fix. The food here is great though and service excellent.

Used version 8.2 and will upgrade to 9.2 shortly. Besides standard install, also added NMS and Showtime modules.

Let me know what you think.

I like it. My only suggestions would be to find a way to make the background wood image load first, to prevent flashing between the pages. I'm guessing it's held up by the jquery.

Thanks for checking the site out. We wanted to use the wood background to match the wood used throughout the new restaurant. The JQuery does seem to slow loading time. Wood is tough to optimize for image size and it pixelates fast.

I don't think the size is the problem, it's just the order. You should be able to have the jquery fire after the page has rendered. I'm assuming the background is css, so delaying the jquery would make the navigation smoother.

Is there a best way to do this using the Showtime module?
